Don’t miss these Miami events in the month of February.

While the rest of the country is freezing cold, Miami offers tropical weather and a hot list of not-to-miss events. Whether you take advantage of all the hotel and restaurant deals for Miami Romance Month, or attend one of the many popular festivals, February has something for everyone.

Miami Romance Month: Feb.1-28

Fan the flames of love during Miami Romance Month. Enjoy special offers at area hotels and restaurants and attend the 2017 It’s So Miami Wedding Showcase at the Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables on Feb. 21.

Frost School of Music's Festival Miami: Jan. 19 - Feb. 11

The University of Miami's Frost School of Music presents the annual Festival Miami featuring international musical guest artists, master faculty artists, and award-winning student ensembles. Show times and ticket prices vary.

Miami International Map Fair: Feb. 3-5

Spark a little worldly wanderlust at HistoryMiami’s annual Miami International Map Fair in Downtown. Check out antique maps, rare books and globes. Tickets start at $15 per person.

Miami Antique, Design and Art Show: Feb. 3-5

Head to the Miami Airport Convention Center for the annual Miami Antique, Design & Art Show, featuring more than 100 exhibitors and antique art dealers. Tickets start at $20 per person.

Downtown Dadeland Winter Block Party: Feb. 4

Enjoy a Winter Block Party at Downtown Dadeland on Feb. 4 from 5 to 10 p.m. to celebrate the unveiling of a new 29-foot sculpture designed by Gordon Huether. Enjoy live music, food and an art bazaar. Event is free.

Black Heritage Festival: Feb. 4

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan, and co-sponsor, City of Miami Gardens Vice-Mayor Erhabor Ighodaro are hosting the annual Black Heritage Festival to celebrate the diversity of African American culture. Admission is free.

Pinecrest Gardens Chili Cook-Off: Feb. 4

Pinecrest Gardens is hosting it’s annual Chili Cook-Off event featuring country music bands, line-dancing, mechanical bull rides and lots of chili to taste. Tickets start at $5 and admission for Pinecrest Gardens members is free.

Jazz at the Monastery: Feb. 9

Listen to the smooth sounds of jazz singer and songwriter Maryel Epps, pianist Herman Whitfield III, and steel drummer Doug Walker at the Ancient Spanish Monastery. Tickets start at $50 per person and includes two drinks. VIP packages are available as well.

Veritage Miami Craft Beer Tasting: Feb. 9

Head to Wynwood Walls on Thursday, Feb. 9 for Veritage Miami's craft beer tasting event. After the tasting, the fun continues at the exclusive Young Leader and LINC Craft Beer After-Party at The Wynwood Yard. Tickets start at $55 per person and VIP packages are available.

GroundUP Music Festival: Feb. 10-12

Enjoy an outdoor concert at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach. GroundUP Music Festival performers include Snarky Puppy, David Crosby, Esperanza Spalding, John Medeski and more. Tickets start at $85 per person.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show: Feb. 10-13

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show brings together nearly 1,000 antique dealers from all over the world to the Miami Fair Expo Center. Shop antique furniture and jewelry collections dating as far back as the 17th century. Tickets start at $20.

Carnaval Miami: Feb 11-March 12

A series of vibrant events celebrating Latin culture and hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, Carnaval Miami includes the Calle Ocho Festival, Carnaval on the Mile, Miss Carnaval Miami Pageant and more. Ticket prices vary.

Valentine’s Day: Feb. 14

Take advantage of some great restaurant and hotel special deals available during Miami Romance Month.

Kite Day Festival: Feb. 14

The annual Kite Day Festival will showcase hundreds of kites over Miami Beach at Haulover Park. Started by Skyward Kites, the event is free and open to all ages.

BritWeek: Feb. 16-18

First launched in 2013 in Miami, Britweek celebrates the creative fusion between the United Kingdom and the Magic City. British born “So You Think You Can Dance” judge, Nigel Lythgoe founded the event, which brings a wide range of activities and parties; some are by invitation only and others are open to the public. Ticket prices vary.

Yachts Miami Beach: Feb. 16-19

Check out the latest yachts and marine technology at Yachts Miami Beach. The event takes place along Indian Creek Waterway from 41st to 54th Street on Miami Beach and Island Gardens Deep Harbour Marina on the MacArthur Causeway. Tickets start at $20 per person.

Miami International Boat Show: Feb. 16-20

Held each year in February, the Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show is back at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin on the Rickenbacker Causeway, leading out to Virginia Key and Key Biscayne. Hop on one of the free water taxis or shuttles for easy access to the show. Tickets start at $20.

Art Wynwood: Feb. 16-20

Explore art from more than 70 international galleries at the Art Miami Pavilion in Miami’s colorful Wynwood neighborhood. An annual art fair, tickets to Art Wynwood start at $25.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival: Feb. 18-20

Check out the work of more than 300 international artists in the eclectic seaside village of Coconut Grove. The annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival is held each year on President's Day Weekend and showcases live music, food by local chefs and, of course, lots of great art. Tickets start at $15 and there’s a $5 discount for residents.

Virginia Key Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance: Feb. 21-28

Enjoy roots rock, reggae, funk, Latin and more at the Virginia Key Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Showcasing more than 50 bands, the festival will also feature dance, yoga and music workshops. Ticket prices vary.

SOBEWFF: Feb. 22-26

Back in Miami for its 16th edition, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) will dazzle your taste buds. Nosh on delicious eats crafted by celebrity chefs and attend glitzy late-night parties at this popular annual event. Ticket prices vary by event.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater: Feb. 23-26

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts with beloved classics including Mr. Ailey’s masterpiece, Revelations, plus new works by the company. Ticket prices vary.

Miami Downtown Jazz Festival: Feb. 24-25

Enjoy live jazz performances at locations throughout Downtown and Bayfront Park during the Miami Downtown Jazz Festival. Almost 30 bands with over 200 local, national, and international musicians will perform, including Bryan Lynch, Dafnis Prieto, Kevin Mahogany, and Dr. Ed Calle, plus Brenda Alford, Sammy Figueroa, Ira Sullivan, Othello Molineau, Emmet Cohen, Tal Cohen, SPAM Allstars, Nicole Yarling, Felipe Lamoglia, and many more. Many performances are free and tickets to the Saturday night performance start at $20 per person.

South Miami Rotary Art Festival: Feb. 24-25

The annual South Miami Rotary Art Festival will take place in downtown South Miami along Sunset Drive. Listen to live music, hang out in the beer garden and view works by more than 150 artists. Admission is free.

Black Heritage Celebration Day: Feb. 25

Join the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center as they celebrate the rich history of the African Diaspora through dance, music and storytelling at the Miami Children's Museum.

Harlem Globetrotters at AmericanAirlines Arena: Feb. 26

The Harlem Globetrotters will showcase their crowd-pleasing basketball skills for this family-friendly event in Downtown Miami at AmericanAirlines Arena. Tickets start at $20.
