August in Miami is sizzlin’ hot—featuring live music, Miami Spice and a list of events you won’t want to miss.

Miami Spice: Aug. 1 - Sept. 30

Calling all foodies! Miami Spice is an annual showcase of Miami’s hip culinary scene. Enjoy three-course, prix-fixe menus prepared by Miami’s hottest chefs at the best restaurants in the city for a great price (lunch $23 and dinner $39). Check out these great restaurants in mainland Miami and in Miami Beach.

Miami Spa Month: July 1- Aug. 31

Do not let August end without taking advantage of Miami Spa Month one last time. What better way to wind down your summer than getting a massage at a world renowned spa for a great price. Prices go back to normal in September. Check out some of Miami's most relaxing spa retreats.

Bluegrass Festival: Aug. 7

Head to Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach for an entertaining day full of laid-back music at the Bluegrass Festival. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show starting at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $7 per person.

Gay and Lesbian Walking Tour: Aug. 13

The Miami Design Preservation League is sponsoring the Gay and Lesbian Walking Tour, featuring history and contributions of the local LGBT community. The tour starts at 11 a.m. and leaves from the Art Deco Welcome Center.

Stiltsville Sunset Cruise: Aug. 14

HistoryMiami's resident historian Dr. Paul George takes you on a relaxing boat ride to Stiltsville, a collection of historic homes on stilts hovering over Biscayne Bay off the coast of Key Biscayne. The tour leaves from Bayside Marketplace and tickets on Eventbrite are $60 for adults and $25 for children.

Summer Cabaret Concert: Aug. 27

Enjoy a summer cabaret concert at the Deering Estate at Cutler, featuring Chloe Dolandis, a dynamic entertainer with a uniquely stylistic blend of jazz, pop and soul. Tickets are $20 and the concert starts at 8 p.m.

International Ballet Festival of Miami: Aug. 27-Sept. 11

Taking place at six venues across Miami, the International Ballet Festival will showcase performing arts by more than 20 ballet companies from around the world and more than 200 dancers. Ticket prices vary.

Jill Scott Concert: Aug. 30

The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater is hosting three-time Grammy award-winner, Jill Scott. Enjoy smooth sounds of jazz, R&B, hip-hop and more. Tickets start at $65 per person.

Drake Concert: Aug. 30-31

Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Drake is coming to AmericanAirlines Arena to perform his for fans and celebrate his new album for two straight nights. Tickets for the Summer Sixteen tour start at $155 per person.
