Miami Film Month: June 1 - 30
There’s a reason why the entertainment industry loves to film in Miami. Celebrate showbiz during the entire month of June, with special offers and screenings for Miami Film Month.
Taste of the Gables: June 2
Calling all foodies! Taste of the Gables, presented by Johnnie Walker Whiskey and Bailey’s Irish Cream is happening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, at the Westin Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. Tickets are $100 per person.
Koo Koo Fest: June 2 - 5
Celebrate Caribbean heritage and film at the 2016 Kookoo Festival, which promotes filmmakers, producers, directors, actors and industry professionals from the region. Week-long screenings at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, Lyric Theater and O Cinema.
City Theatre’s Summer Shorts: June 2 - July 3
Celebrating its 21st season of 10-minute entertaining plays, City Theatre’s Summer Shorts, America’s Short Play Festival is happening throughout the month of June. And don’t miss the party kicking off the season on June 3, 2016. Tickets to the kick-off event start at $75 per person and are available through the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
Ellie Goulding in Concert: June 3

Taste of the Caribbean: June 6 - 10
Let the food fun continue at Taste of the Caribbean, happening at the Hyatt Regency Miami. Featuring their best Caribbean-inspired fare, chefs will cook up a showcase of tropical island dishes. Tickets start at $55 per person.
Coral Gables Restaurant Week: June 6 - 26
The rest of the month of June is filled with colorful cocktails and delicious food specials at restaurants on Miracle Mile and throughout downtown Coral Gables. Now in its 9th year, Coral Gables Restaurant Week features more than 40 eateries offering special three-course, prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at discounted prices.
Selena Gomez in Concert: June 11
Multi-platinum singer and actress Selena Gomez will embark on her worldwide “Revival Tour” in Miami at AmericanAirlines Arena on June 11. Tickets are available on TicketMaster.
Out in the Tropics: June 15 - 18
FUNDarte presents Out In The Tropics 2016, a week-long event featuring artists who address gender, sexuality and issues of interest to the art community and their allies. Now in its seventh year, the series in Miami Beach features public performances, panel, workshops, master classes and artist-talks.
The American Black Film Festival: June 15 - 19
A four-day event dedicated to bringing awareness of entertainment content made by and about people of African descent to a worldwide audience, The American Black Film Festival is taking place in various theaters across South Beach. Festival passes start at $275 per person.
New Times Best of Miami Party: June 16
New Times’ 29th-annual Best of Miami issue celebrates the best of absolutely everything the area offers. Join the party at The Rusty Pelican on the MacArthur Causeway. Tickets start at $45 per person.
South Florida Taste of the Nation: June 17
South Florida's Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry is the nation’s premier culinary benefit, featuring top chefs and mixologists—all of whom are coming together to donate their time, talent and passion to end childhood hunger in America. Colors of the Caribbean: June 18
Continue the celebration of Caribbean American Heritage Month with Colors of the Caribbean, a family-friendly festival celebrating Caribbean culture. Come experience live music, enjoy eclectic food and visit arts and crafts booths. Event is free for those who enter online and VIP packages are also available.
Championship Cup Series: June 18 - 19
Head to the Homestead Miami Speedway for the Championship Cup Series, a lively motorcycle road racing event that will get your adrenaline pumping.
Redland Summer Fruit Festival: June 18 - 19
Summertime in Florida is synonymous with tropical fruit season, so come taste it all at the Redland Summer Fruit Festival in Homestead at the Fruit & Spice Park, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Admission is $8 per person and children 11 and under are free.
Father’s Day: June 19
Treat Dad to a special day in Miami and celebrate Father’s Day with a boat cruise at the Deering Estate at Cutler. Cruises leave at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets start at $35 per person.
