March in Miami is sizzling hot, from concerts to festivals and everything in between. Here's a list of the biggest annual events this month.
Dade Heritage Days: March 1 - May 15
Hosted by the Dade Heritage Trust, Dade Heritage Days celebrate historic places throughout Miami. Held throughout the city, events include special film screenings, tours, talks and more. Ticket prices vary.
Carnaval Miami: Feb 20-March 26
A series of vibrant events celebrating Latin culture and hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, Carnaval Miami is an annual series of family-friendly events. Carnaval On The Mile on March 5-6 is a street festival that takes up the entire length of the Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables. The Calle Ocho Festival on March 13 is the largest street festival in Miami and runs along 8th Street from 8th Avenue to SW 27th Avenue.
Flamenco Festival Miami: March 2-13
The world's most talented Flamenco performers come together for a series of six shows for Flamenco Festival Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami. Three-show packages are available starting at $85.
Winter Party Festival: March 2-7
The Winter Party Festival on Miami Beach is a six-day extravaganza and non-stop dance party that celebrates the LGBT community. Tickets prices vary depending on the event and start at around $50 per person.
World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship March 3-6
Held annually at Trump National Doral, the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship showcases the best players from around the world. While it’s all about the game of golf, the tournament also features food, fashion, music, celebrities and nightlife. Weekly grounds tickets start at $187.25.
Bacardi Miami Sailing Week March 6-12
Sailing teams from all over the world compete at Bacardi Miami Sailing Week each March on Biscayne Bay. Rent a boat to catch the action from sea or keep an eye out on the horizon for brightly colored spinnakers.
Miami International Film Festival: March 6-15
Showcasing hundreds of feature films, documentaries and shorts, the Miami International Film Festival features works produced and directed by emerging talent from 40 countries. General admission tickets start at $13 per person.
Cirque du Soleil: March 10-13
Inspired by James Cameron's blockbuster Avatar, Cirque du Soleil's new show, TORUK – The First Flight, is coming to Downtown Miami at AmericanAirlines Arena. Tickets start at $40.
Creole Carnival: March 12
Celebrate Creole culture and African musical currents with the Creole Carnival Tour featuring performers from Haiti, Jamaica, Brazil and more at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center on March 12. Tickets start at $28.
Eggstravaganza at Pinecrest Gardens: March 13
Attend the biggest Easter egg hunt in town at Pinecrest Gardens’ 13th Annual Eggstravaganza presented by Williamson Automotive. There will be prizes, face painting, balloon art, interactive games, music, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and more. General admission is $5 in advance or $7 the day of the event.
Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo: March 17 - April 10
The Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition hosts a variety of indoor and outdoor events, including the Youth Fair on March 17 through April 10. It's the largest fair in Florida and includes more than 90 carnival rides, livestock and agricultural competitions, live concerts and more. Tickets start at $10.
Jazz in the Gardens: March 18-20
The music industry’s hottest headliners perform at Sun Life Stadium for the annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival in Miami Gardens. Single day tickets start at $65.
Miami Home and Design Remodeling Show: March 18-21
Bringing together vendors offer products and services for homeowners looking to spruce up their homes, The Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show is back at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Ticket prices vary and are available in advance or at the door.
Ultra Music Festival: March 18-20
The world’s best DJs perform at the Ultra Music Festival, an outdoor electronic music festival in Downtown Miami. The biggest names in EDM headline Ultra's main stage, while emerging talents and live artists are found at seven other stages throughout the park. Three-day general admission tickets start at $399.95.
Winter Music Conference: March 21-24
Held annually and overlapping with Ultra, the Winter Music Festival attracts thousands of artists and electronic music industry delegates from 70 countries to Miami Beach. Clubs and venues across the city host various parties and events. Registration starts at $395.
Key Biscayne Art Festival: March 19-20
Visit the Village of Key Biscayne for the 52nd Annual Rotary Key Biscayne Art Festival held at the Village Green Park. Browse works of art from paintings and photography to jewelry and ceramics. Admission is free.
Deering Seafood Festival: March 20
Featuring fresh catches from the sea, chef cooking demos, live music and a family-friendly atmosphere, the Deering Seafood Festival offers entertainment for all ages. Tickets start at $15 in advance or $25 at the gate.
Miami Open: March 21-April 3
The top tennis players in the world compete at the Miami Open presented by Itaú tennis tournament each year at the Crandon Park Tennis Center on Key Biscayne. This year multi-platinum recording artists Duran Duran will perform at the Miami Open on the evening of Friday, April 1, following the men’s semifinal matches. Ticket prices vary.
