Where to go and what to do in Miami during the month of March.
March is heating up in Miami with Shop Miami Month, Ultra Music Festival, the Miami Open and more. While the rest of the country is starting to thaw from winter’s chill, Miami enters into one of the hottest months of the year. Whether you shop til you drop during Shop Miami Month at Miami’s many al fresco shopping malls and popular neighborhoods or take advantage of the Miami Open or Ultra Music Festival, March has something for everyone in Miami.
Shop Miami Month: March 1-31
There’s no better time to take advantage of Miami’s sizzling fashion scene than during Shop Miami Month. With retailers, malls and shopping districts offering special discounts and interactive events, you won’t go home empty handed. You’ll even find special offers at hotels and restaurants.
Carnaval Miami: February 20-March 12
Carnaval Miami is a series of cultural events held throughout the city including Latin jazz performances, a beauty pageant, cooking contest, 10K run, golf classic and domino tournament culminating in the Calle Ocho Festival held Mar. 12 in Little Havana.
National Youngarts Foundation: Youngarts Week Miami Regional Winners Exhibition: February 21-March 24
Attend performances, events, workshops and master classes with the young talent of the Youngarts Foundation as they celebrate Miami’s regional winners.
Winter Party Festival: March 1-6
A week’s worth of parties draws over 10,000 people to Miami Beach for Winter Party, one of the biggest LGBT festivals in the country.

George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic: March 5
Come out to the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater for the legendary George Clinton and his P-Funkadelic band.
Bacardi Miami Sailing Week & Sailing Cup: March 5-11
Hosted by the Coral Reef Yacht Club in Coconut Grove, the Bacardi Miami Sailing Week & Sailing Cup is a Cuban born sporting event with regatta races throughout the week.
World Baseball Classic: March 9-13
Held every four years, the World Baseball Classic brings players together from around the world to compete on behalf of their home countries. Miami’s Marlins Park plays host to the first round with teams from the Dominican Republic, United States, Colombia and Canada. All Star players include Robinson Cano, Manny Machado and Freddie Freeman.
Britweek Miami: March 9-12
Britweek Miami celebrates British innovation, technology, education, creativity, international trade and culture recognizing Miami as an international hub for innovation.
Global Cuba Fest: March 9-26
Miami Light Project and FUNDarte presents Nu Deco Ensemble performing symphonic pieces by composers from Cuba in a new hybrid of compelling musical experiences featuring Israel “Cachao” Valdes and Ernesto Lucuona for Global Cuba Fest.
International Orchid Festival: March 10-12
Held annually at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, the International Orchid Festival showcases over 10,000 different orchid plants from local vendors and around the world.
Veritage Miami: March 15
Celebrate Veritage Miami at the Shops at Merrick Park in Coral Gables for wine and food pairings featuring Miami’s top culinary talent.
St. Patrick's Day: March 17
Whether it’s taking in a St. Patrick’s Day Concert at the Ancient Spanish Monastery in North Miami or imbibing at Miami’s best beer bars and dive bars, St. Paddy’s Day is definitely festive in Miami.
ZZ Top: March 17
The 1970s rock legends ZZ Top will perform in concert at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater.
CITI Taste of Tennis: March 20
Kicking off the Miami Open, CITI Taste of Tennis will feature signature cuisine prepared by top chefs paired with some of the world's best tennis players.

Held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne, the Miami Open brings the world’s top ranking tennis stars to Miami to compete. Expect to watch stars like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Venus Williams.
Winter Music Conference March 21-24
One of the largest electronic dance music conferences in the world descends on Miami every March with Winter Music Conference featuring pool parties, late night sets, seminars and forums for DJs and producers to collaborate.
Ultra Music Festival: March 24-26
Coinciding with Winter Music Conference, Ultra Music Festival brings three days of beats to Bayfront Park with headlining EDM acts like David Guetta, DeadMau5, Tiesto and Afrojack.
Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias: March 25
Hit Chicano comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias takes his act to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts with an evening that promises to be full of laughs.
