Don’t miss these Miami events in the month of March.

While the rest of the country is starting to thaw from winter’s chill, Miami is heating up in March with Ultra Music Festival, Carnaval Miami, the Miami Open and more. Whether you shop ‘til you drop during Shop Miami Month at Miami’s many al fresco shopping malls and popular neighborhoods or take advantage of Miami Music Week, March has something for everyone in Miami.

Shop Miami Month: March 1-31

There’s no better time to take advantage of Miami’s sizzling fashion scene than during Shop Miami Month. With retailers, malls and shopping districts offering special discounts and interactive events, you won’t go home empty handed.

Carnaval Miami: Feb 10 - March 31

A series of vibrant events celebrating Latin culture and hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, Carnaval Miami includes some great events like Tap That Craft, Cork & Fork food and wine festival, Calle Ocho Festival, Carnaval on the Mile, Miss Carnaval Miami Pageant and more. Ticket prices vary.

Winter Party Festival: Feb. 28 – March 6

A week’s worth of parties draws over 10,000 people to Miami Beach for Winter Party Festival, one of the biggest LGBTQ festivals in the country.

Dade Heritage Days: March 1 - May 15

Hosted by the Dade Heritage Trust, Dade Heritage Days celebrate historic places throughout Miami. Held throughout the city, events include special film screenings, tours, talks and more. Ticket prices vary.

Everglades Bluegrass Festival: March 2-4

Bring a lawn chair to Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach and enjoy the sounds of talented bluegrass artists. Ticket prices and camping prices vary. Parking is $7/day for cars, $15/day for RVs.

Miami Sailing Week: March 4-10

Sailing teams from all over the world compete at Miami Sailing Week each March on Biscayne Bay. Rent a boat to catch the action from sea or keep an eye out on the horizon for brightly colored spinnakers. The event attracts more than 200 sailors each year.

Flamenco Festival Miami: March 8-10

The world's most talented Flamenco performers come together for a series of six shows for Flamenco Festival Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami. Single show tickets start at $35 per person.

Veritage Miami Craft Beer Tasting: March 8

The Wynwood Walls provides an artsy backdrop for Veritage Miami’s annual craft beer tasting. Sip on local brews and nosh on delectable dishes from local chefs. Tickets start at $55.

International Orchid Festival: March 9-11

Held annually at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, the International Orchid Festival showcases over 10,000 different orchid plants from local vendors and around the world. Enjoy exhibits, lectures, demos and fun, interactive hands-on activities. Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for seniors, $12 for kids ages 6-17, free for kids 5 and under.

Miami Film Festival: March 9-18

Showcasing hundreds of feature films, documentaries and shorts, Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival features works produced and directed by emerging talent from 40 countries. General admission tickets start at $13 per person.

Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo: March 15 - April 8

The Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo hosts a variety of family-friendly indoor and outdoor events, including the Youth Fair. It's the largest fair in Florida and includes more than 90 carnival rides, livestock and agricultural competitions, live concerts and more. Tickets start at $12.

Jazz in the Gardens: March 17-18

The music industry’s hottest headliners perform at Hard Rock Stadium for the annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival in Miami Gardens. Single day tickets start at $69 in advance and $80 at the door.

Key Biscayne Art Festival: March 19 - 20

Visit the Village of Key Biscayne for the Rotary Key Biscayne Art Festival held at the Village Green Park. Browse works of art from paintings and photography to jewelry and ceramics from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Miami Open: March 19 – April 1

The top tennis players in the world compete at the Miami Open presented by Itaú tennis tournament. This is the last year the event will be held at the Crandon Park Tennis Center on Key Biscayne before it moves to Hard Rock Stadium in 2019. Ticket prices vary.

Miami Music Week: March 20-25

Held annually and overlapping with Ultra Music Festival and Winter Music Conference, Miami Music Week attracts thousands of artists and electronic music industry delegates from 70 countries to the Magic City. Clubs and venues across the city host various parties and events.

Ultra Music Festival: March 23-25

The world’s best DJs perform at the Ultra Music Festival, an outdoor electronic music festival in Downtown Miami. The biggest names in EDM headline Ultra's main stage, while emerging talents and live artists are found at seven other stages throughout the park. Three-day general admission tickets start at $379.95.

Peru vs. Croatia: March 23

Hard Rock Stadium will host an important soccer World Cup preparation match between Peru and Croatia on Friday, March 23, 2018. The FIFA World Rankings have Peru ranked 11th in the world and Croatia 17th, and both teams have qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Tickets start at $55 per person.

Eggstravaganza at Pinecrest Gardens: March 24

Attend the biggest Easter egg hunt in town at Pinecrest Gardens’ Eggstravaganza presented by Williamson Automotive. There will be prizes, face painting, balloon art, interactive games, music, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and more. General admission is $5 in advance or $7 the day of the event.

Deering Seafood Festival: March 25

Featuring fresh catches from the sea, chef cooking demos, live music and a family-friendly atmosphere, the Deering Seafood Festival offers entertainment for all ages. Tickets start at $20 in advance or $25 at the gate.

Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled in Concert: March 30

Head to the AmericanAirlines Arena for a high-energy concert by recording artists Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled with special guest Kehlani.

9 Mile Music Festival: Date still TBD

Groove to the sounds of reggae music at the annual 9 Mile Music Festival at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Tickets start at $53.83 and attendees are also asked to bring four canned goods as a charitable donation.

Miami Romance Month: Feb.1-28

Miami International Map Fair: Feb. 2-4

Spark a little worldly wanderlust at HistoryMiami’s annual Miami International Map Fair in Downtown. Check out antique maps, rare books and globes and spend some time dreaming about your next big trip. Tickets start at $15 per person.

Miami Antique, Design and Art Show: Feb. 2-4

Head to the Miami Airport Convention Center for the annual Miami Antique, Design & Art Show, featuring more than 100 exhibitors and antique art dealers offering antiques and vintage decorative arts. Tickets start at $15 per person.

GroundUP Music Festival: Feb. 9-11

Enjoy an outdoor concert at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach. GroundUP Music Festival performers include Snarky Puppy, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones Trio, The Wood Brothers, Emily Estefan (daughter of Gloria & Emilio Estefan) and more. Tickets start at $85 per person for single day admission or $225 for all three days.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show: Feb. 9-12

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show brings together nearly 1,000 antique dealers from all over the world to the Miami Fair Expo Center adjacent to the campus of Florida International University. Shop antique furniture and jewelry collections dating as far back as the 17th century. Tickets start at $20.

Carnaval Miami: Feb 10 - March 31

Miami International Boat Show: Feb. 15-19

Held each year in February, Progressive Insurance’s Miami International Boat Show is back at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin on the Rickenbacker Causeway, leading out to Virginia Key and Key Biscayne. Hop on one of the free water taxis or shuttles for easy access to the show. Tickets start at $25.

Miami Yacht Show: Feb. 15-19

Also happening at the same time as the Miami International Boat Show, check out the latest yachts and marine technology at the Miami Yacht Show. This event takes place in Miami Beach along Indian Creek Waterway from 41st to 54th Street near the legendary Fontainebleau and Eden Roc hotels. Tickets start at $25 per person.

Art Wynwood: Feb. 15-19

Explore art from more than 70 international galleries at the new home of Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami (located at the former Miami Herald site) on Biscayne Bay in Downtown Miami. Tickets to Art Wynwood start at $15.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival: Feb. 17-19

Check out the work of more than 300 international artists in the eclectic seaside village of Coconut Grove. The annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival is held each year on President's Day Weekend and showcases live music, food by local chefs and, of course, lots of great art. Tickets start at $15 and there’s a $5 discount for residents.

Model Beach Volleyball Tournament: Feb. 17-18

Some of the biggest modeling agencies send their top talent to sizzling South Beach for a friendly, bracket-style beach volleyball competition. Teams made up of models compete against each other in a round-robin format, single elimination tournament. The Model Beach Volleyball Tournament is free and takes place on the beach between 7th and 8th streets.

Black Heritage Festival: Feb. 17

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan, and co-sponsor, City of Miami Gardens Vice-Mayor Erhabor Ighodaro are hosting the fifth annual Black Heritage Festival to celebrate the diversity of African American culture on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from noon until 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Kite Day Festival: Feb. 17-18

The annual Kite Day Festival will showcase hundreds of kites over Miami Beach at Haulover Park from noon to 5 p.m. Sneakers and socks are recommended for running around on the grassy field. Started by Skyward Kites, the event is free and open to all ages. Parking is $7.

Gay8 Festival: Feb. 18

Back for its second edition, Gay8 Festival is a free, one-day event in Little Havana on Calle Ocho. Enjoy live music, street performances, and entertainment from the South Florida LGBT community. While general admission is free, VIP tickets are available for $100 per person.

SOBEWFF: Feb. 21-25

Back in Miami for its 17th edition, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) will dazzle your taste buds. Nosh on delicious eats crafted by celebrity chefs and attend glitzy late-night parties at this popular annual event. Ticket prices vary by event.

Virginia Key Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance: Feb. 21-25

Enjoy roots rock, reggae, funk, Latin and more at the Virginia Key Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Showcasing more than 50 bands, the festival will also feature dance, yoga and music workshops. Early bird tickets start at $45 per person.

South Miami Rotary Art Festival: Feb. 24-25

The annual South Miami Rotary Art Festival will take place in downtown South Miami along Sunset Drive. Listen to live music, hang out in the beer garden and view works by more than 150 artists. Admission is free.

Pinecrest Gardens Chili Cook-Off: Feb. 25

Pinecrest Gardens is hosting its annual Chili Cook-Off event featuring country music bands, line-dancing, mechanical bull rides and lots of chili to taste. Tickets start at $5 and admission for Pinecrest Gardens members is free.

Winter Party Festival: Feb. 28 – March 6

A week’s worth of parties draws over 10,000 people from around the globe to Miami Beach for Winter Party Festival, one of the biggest LGBTQ festivals in the country.
