NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend gets everyone's engine revving
Don’t miss these Miami events in the month of November.
Fall is in full swing with lots of live entertainment and shows during Miami Live Arts Month plus live music, food and wine events, art festivals and more.
Miami Live Month: Nov. 1-30
During the entire month of November, Miami Live Arts Month features special access to concerts, dance performances, comedy shows, poetry readings and lots of great live entertainment.
Santa’s Enchanted Forest: Nov. 2-30
The largest holiday theme park in the world, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is happening at Tropical Park. Enjoy carnival rides, shows, games, a 92-foot tall Christmas tree and more than three million Christmas lights. Ride the ferris wheel, race speedy cars, or risk it all on the “Mega Drop.” Single day and season passes are available. The park is open until the beginning of January.
The Seed Food & Wine Festival: Nov. 1-5
The first plant-based food and wine festival in the country, The Seed Food & Wine Festival, presented by Whole Foods, is hosting special events throughout the city. Highlights include The Burger Battle, where America’s best veggie burger will be crowned as well as the Mantra Yoga Brunch. Tickets start at $20 for the kid’s tasting village and go up to $559 for the Seed Summit Ultimate Pass (includes a variety of events including VIP access throughout the weekend).
South Miami Art Festival: Nov. 4-5
Hosted by Chamber South, the annual South Miami Art Festival is scheduled to take place along Sunset Drive between U.S. Highway 1 and SW 57th Avenue. The event will include more than 100 artists from around the world representing art forms ranging from ceramics and clay to jewelry and metalwork, as well as painting and photography. Admission is free.
New World Symphony’s Star Wars Spectacular Concert for Kids: Nov. 5
Bring the whole family to New World Center on South Beach and get transported to a galaxy far, far away in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Star Wars by George Lucas. The Force is strong with conductor Dean Whiteside as he leads famous themes for Yoda, Princess Leia and Darth Vader. Come as your favorite character as the dark side is defeated on stage. The storytelling continues with Sergei Prokofiev’s musical version of feuding families from Shakespeare’s classic and the march of Camille Saint-Saëns’ French regiment. Concerts for Kids are designed with young ones—ages four to nine—in mind. Arrive early to meet the New World Symphony Fellows at the Instrument Petting Zoo. Two performances are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Veterans Day Parade: Nov. 11
Take a moment to honor our military men and women. The City of Miami Beach will host their annual Veteran’s Day Parade along Washington Avenue from 11th to 17th Streets.
Coral Gables Food Wine & Spirits Festival: Nov 8-12
The Coral Gables Food Wine & Spirits Festival is week-long soiree featuring your chance to try some of the most delectable restaurants throughout Coral Gables. Visit the Food Art area, enjoy cooking demos and seminars and groove to the sounds of life music. Buy food and wine items ala cart or purchase tickets for $99 per person for VIP access and unlimited samples.
Ultimate Beach Frisbee: Nov. 11-12
Test out your ultimate Frisbee skills on the beach! More than 1,000 participants will head to Haulover Park on Miami Beach for the annual Miami Vice Beach Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Cost is $400 for the first 10 players, then $40 for each additional player.
Miami Book Fair International: Nov. 12-19
Celebrating authors, books, prose and poetry, the Miami Book Fair International returns for its 33rd edition in Downtown. Hosted by Miami Dade College, admission to the street fair is free on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, admission is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free. This year, former Vice President Joe Biden will speak as part of his American Promise Tour and special tickets are required for this event.
NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend: Nov. 17-19
Rev up your engines for the NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Who will be this year's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion? It all comes down to the Ford EcoBoost 400 on November 19th. Tickets start at $65 per person for two-day general admission and go up to $199 for the 2017 HMS Dale Earnhardt Jr. Package.
Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest: Nov. 18
The 10th annual Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest will feature notable jazz at Gateway Park on Saturday, November 18. Doors open at 6 p.m. Mix and mingle with the crowd and enjoy smooth sounds by your favorite musicians in this scenic outdoor performance area. General admission is free and VIP is $50 per person.
Mad Hatter Arts Festival: Nov. 18-19
Head to the Barnacle Historic State Park in Coconut Grove for the annual Mad Hatter Arts Festival featuring a vintage artisan marketplace and a participatory drum circle. There will also be a screening of the classic movie, Alice in Wonderland at 7 p.m. on the Barnacle Lawn ($5 ages six and up) on Saturday, November 18.
White Party Week: Nov. 23-27
Be seen at the hottest parties throughout Miami and Miami Beach! Tens of thousands flock to Miami for a week of nonstop entertainment and fundraisers for the fight against HIV/AIDS during the annual White Party Week. Parties are scheduled for various locations throughout the city including Muscle Beach. Proceeds from events benefit Care Resource, an organization that provides healthcare services to those in need in South Florida.
Thanksgiving: Nov. 23
