Don’t miss these Miami events in the month of September.

Between all of the great local restaurants you can try for less during Miami Spice and this list of exciting events, the month of September features lots of fun things to do in Miami.

Miami Spice: Aug. 1 - Sept. 30

Calling all foodies! Miami Spice is an annual showcase of Miami’s hip culinary scene. Enjoy three-course, prix-fixe menus prepared by Miami’s hottest chefs at the best restaurants in the city for a great price (brunch $23, lunch $23 and dinner $39). Check out these great restaurants.

Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show: Aug. 31 – Sept. 3

Learn everything you need to know about starting your next home improvement project at the largest home design show in the South. The Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show takes place at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center and tickets start at $10 per person.

ArtsLaunch2018: Sept. 8

At the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami, enjoy a day of free events during ArtsLaunch2018. More than 40 shows will be on sale and if you buy tickets in person, no ticket handling charges will apply. There will be a silent disco, walking tours, mixology chef demos, kids activities and more.

Children’s Trust Family Expo: Sept. 8

Bring out the entire family for the Children’s Trust Family Expo at the Tamiami Fair & Expo grounds on Coral Way. Activities include sports, arts and crafts, performances, face painting and more family-friendly activities. The event is Saturday, September 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is free for all attendees.

Kathy Griffin: Sept. 12

After a year of national scandal and following a sold-out run of stand-up shows around the globe, Kathy Griffin is returning with the much-anticipated North American continuation of her “Laugh Your Head Off” World Tour. She will be performing at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House on Wednesday, September 12.

Brazilian Film Festival: Sept. 14-23

For a colorful dose of Brazilian culture on the big screen, check out the annual Brazilian Film Festival. The 22nd edition of the festival features a collection of short and featured films. Closing the festival on September 23, head to the New World Center’s SoundScape Park to watch the movie chosen by audiences as this year’s best film.

Sting & Shaggy: Sept. 15

Sting & Shaggy will bring their dynamic and vibrant joint live show to the Fillmore Miami Beach. The artists will combine their bands to play songs from their recently-released, island-flavored collaborative album, 44/876, and collaborate on each other’s most celebrated hits. Ticket prices vary.

Jerry Seinfeld: Sept. 21

America’s premier comedian, Jerry Seinfeld, returns to the Adrienne Arsht Center to perform his signature stand-up routine. Seinfeld has been hailed for his uncanny ability to joke about the little things in life that relate to audiences everywhere. His latest projects include the Emmy-nominated web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and his Netflix special Jerry Before Seinfeld.

Miami Fashion Film Festival: Sept. 20-22

Take a creative look at the fashion industry through screenings of documentaries, short films and fashion movie classics at the Miami Fashion Film Festival at the Miami Beach Cinematheque on Washington Avenue.

HistoryMiami Cruise: Sept. 23

Enjoy an entertaining and relaxing ride on the river with HistoryMiami Museum’s resident historian, Dr. Paul George, as he recounts the history of Miami. Learn the story of the Miami River from the late 19th century and hear tales of the area’s earliest known inhabitants, the Tequesta, all while cruising through Downtown. The Museum will be chartering a vessel from Island Queen Cruises, which will be docked at Miamarina at Bayside Marketplace. Tickets start at $50 per person and include admission to HistoryMiami.

Third Horizon Caribbean Film Festival: Sept. 27-30

Head to O Cinema in Wynwood to watch films about the Caribbean and its diaspora during the Third Horizon Caribbean Film Festival. The festival aims to celebrate and empower the filmmakers leading this charge and promote films which tell the stories of the region, its people and their diaspora.
