The month of October is known for Germany's Oktoberfest and we are able to experience a sense of what it must be like in Munich.

You don't want to miss out on a cultural experience like this.

The Butcher Shop

Each weekend during The Butcher Shop's Oktoberfest, the DJ/MC hosts contests such as the liter chug and liter hold/stein hoist. Beer will be flowing from different breweries, along with food and jagermeister drink specials. September 28 through October 11 at 165 NW 23rd St.; 305-846-9120.

Sam Adams Octoberfest

In its eighth year, Sam Adams Oktoberfest will be held at Mana Wynwood Convention Center. There will be live entertainment, an artisan market, authentic food, a beer hall and a chance to win a bottle of Sam Adams Utopias. Friday, October 6, through Sunday, October 8, at 318 NW 23rd St.; 305-573-0371.

Coral Gables Oktoberfest

For the past 23 years, Coral Gables has kept the tradition of Oktoberfest alive. Hosted at Fritz & Franz Bierhaus in Merrick Park, this 11 day beer, food and music festival features authentic German food and even a live German band. Thursday, October 5, through Sunday, October 15, at 60 Merrick Way; 305-774-1883.


Florida's largest craft beer festival is back to their native spot in Coconut Grove and you don’t want to miss it. This year, hundreds of beer lovers will make their way to Peacock Park for unlimited beer samples, live music and delicious food. Saturday, October 14, at Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd.; 305-461-2700.


World of Beer in Dadeland will celebrate with a selection of local Oktoberfest beers, pretzels and games. Saturday, October 21, at 9010 SW 72nd Pl.; 786-623-3522.

Oktoberfest Miami

Founded in 1949, The German American Social Club’s mission is to celebrate their heritage by sharing with the community. It has held the longest-running Oktoberfest celebration in the United States. It is also the largest German cultural event in South Florida. Friday, October 13, through Sunday, October 15, and Friday, October 20, through Sunday, October 22, at 11919 SW 56th St.; 305-552-5123.
