Miami Springs

An Airport Adjacent Neighborhood

Right next to the airport is this eclectic, residential area.

Miami Springs was founded by Glenn Curtiss, "The Father of Naval Aviation", and James Bright, during the famous land boom of the 1920s. Miami Springs, Florida is nestled close to Miami International Airport, and was once home to many Eastern Airlines employees.

Many buildings in Miami Springs were built in a style of architecture called Pueblo Revival, inspired by the Pueblo-style structures found primarily in New Mexico.

The newly restored Curtiss Mansion, which belonged to founder Glenn Curtiss, is one of the city's most important landmarks and a venue for hosting weddings, photo shoots, and aviation education programs. Today, Miami Springs remains a residential airport-adjacent neighborhood with a small town feel.
