In Miami’s MiMo district, you’ll find boutiques where you are sure to score new keys pieces to add a little favor to your wardrobe.
MiMo stands for Miami Modern and nested between 27 blocks on Biscayne Boulevard between Northeastern 50th and 77th Streets are prime examples of the playful architecture style. It’s the perfect backdrop for a little boutique shopping, Miami style. Here, find four boutiques where you are sure to score new key pieces to add a little flavor to your wardrobe.
With vintage setting the tone of the historic neighborhood, this retro shop is a great fit for the area. Fly Boutique has long been shopped by stylists and designers for bygone pieces that inspire. But you don’t have to be a fashionista to enjoy the collection of unique finds. Vintage dresses, boots, bags, hats, jewelry and more fill this quaint little corner space. Be sure to check out the selection of hand-dyed nightgowns, which make perfect cover-ups, as well as reinvented retro pieces. There’s even offerings for him. And if you fall in love with the décor, which boasts a shabby chic feel, just ask the price. It’s also for sale.

Owner Patricia Costa has more than a decade’s worth of experience in the high-end luxury business and her mix of small L.A. and N.Y. labels makes up the selection at her chic Biscayne Boulevard boutique. By keeping limited offerings of each item, The Weekender ensures you won’t be dressed like anyone else on your night out. And Costa is more than happy to help you put a look together. She has an eye for styling her array of clean lines and edgy prints.

When you’ve searched high and low for that perfect frock and have come up empty handed, head to Rebel. The boutique is known for its selection of dresses, cool tees, distressed denim, bikinis and accessories. There’s even a selection of consigned designer pieces so you won’t break the bank getting something new for a night out. From local designers like Karina Grimaldi to national designers like Elan and Junk Food, there truly is something here for everyone, be it boho style, a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll or just beach chic.

As one of the newest shops to call the MiMo District home, Hint is a chic space with everything from women’s clothing and accessories, as well as art and décor for your abode. The mix of up-and-coming designers like Filomena Fernandez and established names like J Brand makes it a great place to stock up on the brands you love, but also find something new. Be sure to check out the selection of shoes, too.
