Spend The Day At Crandon Park
- January 13, 2026
Just across the Rickenbacker Causeway from Downtown Miami and Brickell, you'll find Crandon Park, an 800-acre oasis known for its beautiful beaches, outdoor adventures and laid-back, family-friendly vibe.
Once a coconut plantation, today it’s a local favorite for basking in the sunshine, and is a quieter alternative for visitors looking for a place to relax with their families.

Crandon Park Beach
If your idea of a perfect day includes warm water and room to spread out, Crandon Park Beach delivers. Stretching two miles along Biscayne Bay, the beach is known for its calm, shallow water—great for swimming, floating or letting kids play safely near shore.
Set up beneath swaying palms, stroll or bike along the paved beach path or join a casual volleyball game. Bring a snorkel and you might spot snapper or snook gliding through the seagrass just offshore. When hunger hits, picnic tables and barbecue areas make it easy to turn your beach day into an all-day affair.
El Chiringuito and Costenos Seafood are two casual restaurants located inside the park where you can enjoy delicious eats like paella, ceviche and fried fish with oceanfront views and your toes in the sand.

Get Out on the Water
Want to explore beyond the shoreline? Crandon Park makes it easy. Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard from authorized vendors or join a guided eco-tour through the calm waters of Biscayne Bay. You’ll paddle past mangroves, shallow sandbars and marine habitats filled with tropical fish, rays and shorebirds.
Boaters can dock at Crandon Park Marina, which offers nearly 300 slips, a 24-hour boat ramp and sunset views you won’t want to miss.

Tee Off by the Bay
You don’t have to be a serious golfer to enjoy Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne. This public 18-hole course is beloved for its scenery, especially the signature seventh hole that plays over Biscayne Bay. With practice facilities, lessons and bay breezes keeping things cool, it’s one of the most enjoyable places to play golf in Miami.
Designed by Robert von Hagge, the par-72 course is rated one of the Top 20 Courses in Florida by Golfweek and one of Florida’s Top 15 Courses by Golf Digest. The seventh hole, in particular, is known as one of golf’s greatest holes, a par 4 that doglegs to the right and sends your ball flying over the water.
Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne also features a driving range, putting greens, a pro shop and a staff of golf pros. Single-rider golf carts are available for golfers with disabilities – call at least a day ahead to reserve one.

Discover Crandon Park's Wild Side
Take a break from the beach and explore the park’s natural beauty at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center. Here, you can learn about local ecosystems, join a guided nature walk or stroll easy trails through Bear Cut Preserve – one of the last remaining hardwood hammocks in Miami.
It’s a peaceful reminder that even in a world-class destination like Miami, nature still has a starring role.
Play on Legendary Tennis Courts
Ever wondered what it’s like to play where tennis legends once competed? At the Crandon Park Tennis Center, you can. Formerly home to the Miami Open, the center now welcomes the public to 28 hard and clay courts, including a stadium court available by reservation. Whether you’re squeezing in a morning match or playing under the lights at night, it’s a memorable way to stay active on vacation.
