Key Biscayne’s Hidden Outdoor Gem

Crandon Park is a wonderful destination to commune with the great outdoors on beautiful Key Biscayne. The park is home to a sandy beach, golf course, tennis center, nature center and marina. You’ll find kiteboarding, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking vendors, as well as picnic tables, cabanas and so much more! Originally, the 800-acre Crandon Park was a part of the largest coconut plantation in the country, owned by South Florida pioneer William Matheson whose name is lent to another classic Miami park, Matheson Hammock. In 1940, the Matheson family donated a large parcel of land to Miami-Dade County for a public park, and Crandon Park was born. Now, Crandon Park is open to the public year round to enjoy beautiful beaches, wildlife and world class recreational amenities.
