Heading to South Beach? Here’s how to get there from the airport.
Whether you want to take public transportation, a taxi or rent your own car, there are plenty of ways for you to get from Miami International Airport to Miami Beach.
When your flight lands in Miami, the first thing you need to decide is what form of transportation you want to use.
Quick & Easy Option: Taxi or Uber
The quickest option is probably to either take a taxi ($32-40 flat rate before tip) or a car service like Uber or Lyft (from $15 and up depending on traffic). Check out these articles to read more about both options:

Affordable Option: Express Bus Service
Miami-Dade Transit’s Airport Flyer offers daily express bus service between Miami International Airport and Miami Beach. Buses run every 30 minutes, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. For $2.35 each way, passengers can ride aboard 40-foot buses equipped with luggage racks and comfortable seating.
Rent a Car
If you prefer to drive yourself, it’s now easier than ever to rent a car at the airport and head over to Miami Beach. All you need to do after picking up your bags is take the MIA Mover, an automated train system from the airport to the Miami Intermodal Center, which is located nearby.
The Rental Car Center is located next to the Miami Intermodal Center (which is just a fancy name for our airport transportation hub). There are a number of popular rental car companies at this location who can get you set up with a car and behind the wheel in no time. Read more about renting a car in Miami.
When you’re returning your rental car to the airport, plug in the following address into your GPS system: 3900 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33142. And make sure you allow plenty of time to return the car, ride the MIA Mover to the airport and check in for your flight.
