The distance between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Port Miami is 7 miles. The distance from Port Miami to Miami Beach is 4 miles.
There is ample parking at PortMiami for vehicles of cruise passengers and a free, wheelchair accessible shuttle to pick-up passengers and their luggage from their cars and drop them off at their designated cruise terminal.
Long term cruise passengers should expect to pay $20 per night, while the daily rate is $7 for short-term parking. There is no reserved parking, however, there is ample space available.
Recreational / Oversized Vehicles
Recreational Vehicles can park in Lot E (surface lot), directly across from Terminal E. There are also a limited number of parking spaces at Garage D directly across from Terminal D. Oversized vehicles are charged $20 per 20 feet in length or the equivalent to the number of parking spaces used per night.
Public parking charges will apply to vehicles parking at PortMiami's public parking facilities that display a disabled parking permit or license tag, except as provided by Florida state law. However, for the parking fees to be waived, appropriate documentation must be provided to the attendant upon exiting the parking garage. Upon reaching the toll, the attendant will also provide you with additional documentation to fill out.

Disabled Parking Checklist / Required Documents:
- State issued: driver’s license / I.D. card / passport
- Original parking sales receipt / parking ticket stub (no copies)
- Authentic disability placard / permanent disability license plate
- Proof of sailing (sailing card or original purchased ticket issued from the Cruise Line) Letter/card from the Department of Motor Vehicles signifying to whom the disability placard is assigned (Please note that this applies to states that do not have a driver’s license # on the placard)
There is no limit to the amount of days one can park their car at the parking garage.
All PortMiami garages and Lot E accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or any major U.S. Traveler’s Check. No debit card transactions are accepted.
With the exception of Garage J you only pay upon exit of the parking facilities.

Due to security regulations, storage lockers are not available at PortMiami. It is recommended that you contact your cruise line for luggage forwarding services. It is also recommended that you check with your cruise line for early baggage check-in times. Baggage storage is available for a fee, if you are taking a flight from Miami International Airport.
