The Miami Yacht Show Heats Up President’s Day Weekend

President’s Day Weekend in Miami offers a treasure trove for boating enthusiasts. For the second year, the 32nd Annual Miami Yacht Show will dock at One Herald Plaza, just north of Downtown Miami where the Venetian and MacArthur Causeways connect to South Beach. The show runs February 13 -16, 2020, from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and February 17, 2020, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Previously, the show took place on Miami Beach at Collins Avenue across the street from the Fontainebleau Hotel.

“This is a collaborative move that is designed to make Miami’s Boat Show week an easily accessible, interconnected system of events. The show will be better positioned for growth with additional land space to enhance and expand VIP lounges and add entertainment,” said Andrew Doole, general manager of Informa, the Miami Yacht Show’s co-owner and producer, about the move to the mainland.

The new location makes it more convenient for boaters to attend both the Miami Yacht Show and the larger Miami International Boat Show held at Marine Stadium on the Rickenbacker Causeway on Key Biscayne since 2016. Collectively, these two events are known as Miami Boating WeekPrivate yacht tenders, water taxis and shuttle buses will be available, connecting the two events. Tickets for the Miami Yacht Show are $30, and admission is free for children 12 years of age and under. Joint admission tickets for the International Boat Show and the Yacht Show are also available.

The 60-acre, One Herald Plaza location of the Miami Yacht Show, boasts two main entrances and abundant parking for convenient transportation and access. It also provides 67,000 sq. ft. of on-land exhibition space for more than 200 vendors featuring the latest in marine accessories, as well as an exotic and collectible car display. Show-goers will enjoy food and beverage from upscale steak and seafood eatery, Truluck's, and South Beach hidden gem, Sunny Poke, as well as two floating cocktail lounges. Also included in this year's enhanced dining experiences are a premier open bar, happy hours featuring award-winning mixologists, wine tastings and private social events.

An international crowd descends on the docks to peruse and board both new and pre-owned luxury yachts, showcasing over 400 extraordinary yachts and superyachts from the world's foremost custom boat builders, including names like Riviera Yachts, Invictus Yachts, Horizon Yachts, Majesty Yachts from Dubai and many more. Miami Yacht Show will also showcase more than 15 brand new must-see yachts, including the U.S. debut of Australia's SilverYachts' 278-foot Bold, the show's largest and newest ultra-luxury super yacht.

The Miami Yacht Show also boasts a collection of 60 show-stopping superyachts at a secondary location on Watson Island at the Island Gardens Deep Harbour Marina, which can accommodate yachts of up to 400 feet.

The Miami Yacht Show is a longstanding February tradition in Miami—and for good reason. It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy Miami’s mild winter sunshine and stroll the docks gazing at gorgeous yachts. Whether you’re here to buy or simply dream of your next day on the water, it’s a fun-filled outing with something for everyone. With its new location at One Herald Plaza, it also positions attendees at the doors of Art Wynwood, the city’s premier winter contemporary art fair.
