Miami-Dade Farmers Month Invites Visitors and Residents to Discover and Explore South Dade’s Unique Offerings

Throughout November, The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau spotlights the people, places, and experiences of South Dade
Miami, Fl (November 14, 2025) – The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is proud to announce the return of Miami-Dade Farmers Month, a county-wide celebration of South Dade’s robust agricultural roots that bring fresh produce and homegrown charm to tables across the state and beyond. Now entering its fourth year, this monthlong harvest celebration runs from November 1 through November 30 and invites locals and visitors alike to explore the richness of South Dade’s farming community. The full lineup of events and participating farms can be found at MiamiFarmersMonth.com.
“Miami-Dade’s farming community is one of our destination’s most unique and greatest treasures,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Farmers Month is a celebration of South Dade’s unique offerings- and offers an invitation for visitors and residents alike to experience the people and places that nourish our community.”
South Dade has emerged as a cornerstone of Florida's agricultural identity, offering economic benefits, preserving the state's farming heritage, and cultivating a deep connection between the land and local culture. Approximately 89% of agricultural products grown in the County are shipped to markets across the Northeast, Central U.S. and Canada.
“Miami-Dade County stands as a powerhouse in Florida agriculture, generating over 1 billion in crop value annually on fewer than 70,000 acres,” said Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins. “This extraordinary level of productivity reflects the advantages of a tropical climate and the capacity to cultivate a wide variety of crops year-round. South Dade’s abundant agricultural landscape not only sustains our economy but also offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore its farms, markets and natural beauty, connecting people directly to the land and culture that make our community so special.”
To kick off the festivities, the third annual Heroes Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday, November 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Tropical Park, honoring Miami-Dade’s healthcare professionals, law enforcement, first responders, and frontline workers for their dedication and service. Guests can enjoy lively music, decorated floats, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment as Miami comes together to celebrate its heroes on every front.
The celebration continues throughout November with farm experiences that capture the spirit of South Dade—from berry picking and hayrides to sustainable farm tours and community events. Beloved spots like The Berry Farm, Knaus Berry Farm, The Little Farm, and Pintos Farm bring local heritage to life through outdoor fun, homemade treats, and family traditions. Across the region, growers such as Radhe Farms, Paradise Farms, and Tinez Farms nurture the land through organic and regenerative practices, showcasing how Miami’s farming community continues to thrive by caring for both people and the planet.
In addition to exploring the region’s diverse farms, visitors can take advantage of special Farmers Month promotions throughout November, such as buy-one-get-one admission at Fruit & Spice Park, discounted stays at Home2 Suites by Hilton, Wellness Wednesdays at Essensia at The Palms Hotel & Spa, and a special offer at Flamingo Adventures in Everglades National Park.
