About the Faena District
The brainchild of flamboyant Argentinean hotelier and developer Alan Faena, the Faena Hotel Miami Beach and its surrounding eight-block district is a fantastic world of contemporary art, lavish design, fine dining and whimsy. Developed in collaboration with filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and his Academy Award-winning designer wife, Catherine Martin, the district personifies an all-encompassing theatrical experience. With showstopping works of art by contemporary master Damien Hirst, a cathedral-like entrance hall with murals by Juan Gatti and a color palette dripping in luscious reds, golds, turquoise and animal prints, the Faena Hotel is surreal and luxurious.
