Miami Beach Convention Center Commits To Sustainability
Home to major annual events like Art Basel Miami Beach, the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) in Miami Beach is an award-winning meetings venue that welcomes more than 600,000 attendees and exhibitors annually. Newly reimagined following a $640 million renovation, this state-of-the-art facility is a LEED Silver certified green building.
As part of The City of Miami Beach’s commitment to sustainability, MBCC’s environmentally friendly building features and sustainable business practices include reduced flow water fixtures, reduced electrical consumption practices, wastewater reduction, electrical vehicle charging stations and critical building systems raised above flood level requirements.
Spanning five stories with 500,000-square-feet of flexible exhibition halls, ballrooms and breakout rooms, as well as two beautifully landscaped parks spanning nine acres, MBCC can accommodate meetings and events of every size and occasion.
The Rum Room is the newest addition to the campus. Situated inside a restored century-old landmark cottage with an outdoor terrace and adjacent meeting space overlooking the Collins Canal, it can accommodate 50 to 100 guests.

Luxury Meets Eco-Chic At 1 Hotel South Beach

Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club in Miami Beach occupies a historic Art Deco property overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It became the first LEED-certified hotel on Miami Beach in 2014 when it was renovated and a new, modern tower was built. It also holds Florida Green Lodging’s impressive Three Palm designation.
