As the 24th Poet Laureate of the United States, Limón has established herself as an influential voice in American poetry. Limón's impact extends beyond traditional publishing, with her words literally reaching for the stars through her poem engraved on NASA's Europa Clipper Spacecraft. Her innovative signature project as Poet Laureate, You Are Here, explores humanity's connection to the natural world through poetry. The author of six poetry collections and two children's books, Limón was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship in 2023 and named a TIME magazine woman of the year in 2024.
