Where To Stay Near Art Basel Miami Beach & Miami Art Week

Art lovers come to Miami every year for the international art extravaganzas,  Art Basel Miami Beach, which runs from December 4-6, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in South Beach, and the broader Miami Art Week, November 30-December 6, with satellite fairs and shows throughout the destination.

Royal Palm South Beach 

Just in time for Art Basel Miami Beach 2026, the Royal Palm South Beach has reopened after a $100 million-plus transformation. The historic 1939 hotel is set in the Art Deco District, which means you can skip driving and walk to the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The rooms and suites are spread across three oceanfront towers and have all been completely renovated, with accommodations fitting of every traveler, from oceanfront kings to bungalow suites and expansive two-bedroom suites. Delano Miami Beach

Another Art Basel legend is back. The iconic Delano Miami Beach, which was known for its epic parties during Art Week, has reopened to grand fanfare after a massive renovation. The 1947 hotel is now dripping in creamy white furniture, accented by a Lucite piano from Lenny Kravitz and bright artwork, with refined guest rooms, penthouses and those two-story poolside bungalows that guests still rave about.

Loews Miami Beach 

Art Basel is the perfect time to relax in the new coastal-chic guest rooms at Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The oceanfront South Beach hotel is located about a half-mile from the Miami Beach Convention Center, and often partners with major satellite art fairs, including a new 2026 collab with Untitled Art. 

During Art Week, the Loews hosts a new artist-in-residence (yet to be announced for 2026) who displays their art in the hotel’s public spaces. The Shelborne By Proper

Art lovers can check in to The Shelborne By Proper, an Art Deco gem in South Beach, to be near all of the Art Basel action. The iconic hotel, which emerged from a $100-million renovation in 2025, is dotted with works of art, like Jean-Michel Basquiat’s hand-dyed silk installations in the lobby, and Regina Durante Jestrow's large creations crafted from various fabrics.

Another work of art is the restored, 1950s-era sculptural diving board that still holds court above the new mint-green poolscape. The hotel regularly offers activities for guests and the community, from photography to pottery workshops and DJ sound sessions, including during Art Week.

The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach

An official host partner of Art Basel Miami Beach, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach is a 10-minute walk from the convention center and popular satellite fairs like Design Miami. For Art Basel 2026, the hotel will present a solo installation by conceptual artist Rachel Lee Hovnanian, whose work examines digital culture and its impact on human connection, attention and identity.
