Witness The Temptations’ extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame when the electrifying, 12 time Grammy-nominated hit Broadway musical Ain't Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations comes to The Arsht Center's stage. As part of the Arsht Center's Broadway in Miami series, Ain't Too Proud opens on Tuesday, May 9 and runs through Sunday, May 14.
With their signature dance moves and silky-smooth harmonies, The Temptations rose to the top of the charts with an amazing 42 Top 10 hits, out of which 14 reached No. 1. Written by the talented three-time Obie Award winner Dominique Morisseau and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys), Ain't to Proud is a story of brotherhood, family, loyalty, and betrayal during a decade of civil unrest in America. This stunning production features the Tony-winning choreography of Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, On Your Feet!), set to the beat of the group’s treasured hits, including “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Get Ready,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” and many more.
