Steel drum rhythms with a holiday twist fill Miami Beach when Steel Away headlines the 2nd Annual Reggae Steel Band Xmas at Lummus Park.
The free concert takes place Sunday, December 7 as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. Led by Trinidadian musicians Fitzroy “Fox” Alleyne, Gail Clarke-Alleyne and their son Kobie Alleyne, Steel Away is known for lively performances that blend authentic Caribbean steelpan traditions with a contemporary sound.
Set on the lawn between 14th Street and 14th Place, the weekly series invites audiences to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs for an evening of live music by the ocean. In case of rain, the event moves indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
