Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill

Songs that journey from Weimar-era cabaret to the American stage are brought to life in a staged revue honoring composer Kurt Weill.

On Saturday, November 22, Orchestra Miami presents Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill at the Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables. Narration guides the program, weaving together biography and music to illuminate the life and artistry of this influential composer. Four vocalists join a six-piece instrumental ensemble under the musical direction of Elaine Rinaldi, with staging by Ricky J. Martinez. Marking both the 125th anniversary of Weill’s birth and the 75th of his death, the performance highlights his enduring contributions to 20th-century music.
