Catch an insightful photo exhibit that captures the far-reaching effects of COVID-19 to the city of Miami, a place where hundreds of thousands of people flock to year-round for vacation getaways, destination weddings, nightlife, food, culture, and more. With the onset of COVID-19 in 2020, the city became ground zero for racial injustice protests, widespread homelessness, and an endangered entertainment industry on the brink of implosion.

CAPTURE: A Portrait of the Pandemic features images taken by Rahsaan “Fly Guy” Alexander, a native of Miami who has spent the past 15 years as one of the city’s most sought after club DJ. The images on display at HistoryMiami Museum are a visual representation of what Miami experienced since March 2020. Along with the photography, the exhibition will also showcase Rahsaan’s short documentary film PIVOT: A 2020 Story; an introspective look at how he rekindled his passion for photography.
