Divine Swagger: Portraits of Power, Rhythm, and Remembrance
Dec 05, 2025 - Dec 07, 2025
From: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
This December, during Art Basel Miami Beach 2025, CADA proudly presents Divine Swagger: Portraits of Power, Rhythm, and Remembrance—a museum-quality exhibition spotlighting six extraordinary artists from across the African Diaspora: Vanessa Charlot, Maxwell Pearce, Olumide Oresegun, Tracy Guiteau, Ibe Ananaba, and Bisa Butler. Curated by Ludlow E. Bailey, this dynamic showcase celebrates the aesthetic, cultural, and spiritual brilliance of Black creativity—illuminating powerful narratives of resilience, rhythm, and remembrance.
The week-long exhibition concludes with CADA’s Signature Annual Panel Discussion & Brunch on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Art Deco Museum. Featured speakers include Melissa Hunter (Publisher, Sugarcane Magazine), Vanessa Charlot (Artist and Professor), Julie Walker (Art Critic), Maxwell Pearce, and Cornelius Tulloch, who will explore timely topics such as The Global African Diaspora Art Renaissance, The Black Presence at Miami Art Week 2025, The Role of Art and Culture in the Development of the African Continent, and The Black Miami Art Scene (Art of Black Miami).
A celebration of artistry, identity, and innovation, Divine Swagger invites audiences to experience the power and beauty of the Diaspora through a contemporary lens.
