Ecotopia: Planting Workshop
This event has passed.
Create your own plant pots and fill it with native, medicinal and edible plants at a three hour Planting Workshop presented as part of the Ecotopia event series at Vizcaya Village. Led by sustainability advocate Pangea Kali Virga and Corinne of Miami Seedshare, this workshop will show you how to craft plant pots out of water bottles, cans, takeout containers, and other single-use plastic items. The workshop will wrap up with participants making a macrame plant hanger using scrap fabrics. All materials will be provided as well as a seed paper gift to start your own pollinator garden at home.
While you're there check out the Swap Shop, where you'll find a mix of gently used clothing, accessories, books, art supplies, small home goods, and plants.
Experience an innovative fusion of art and environmentalism at Ecotopia, a series of nine immersive events that encompass various disciplines, from painting to cooking, mending to planting, and more.
