El brote (The Break) will be performed September 11–13 at the Adrienne Arsht Center as part of the 39th International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami. Written and directed by Emiliano Dionisi, this production by Argentina’s Compañía Criolla premiered in 2023 at Teatro del Pueblo in Buenos Aires to critical acclaim. The story follows an actor whose life begins to mirror the script he performs, leading him to question who is truly in control of his narrative.
Presented in Spanish, this production is presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center and Teatro Avante, continuing the festival’s tradition of spotlighting compelling Spanish-language works from around the world.
