Enjoy an evening of Brazilian rhythms with a performance by the Gilsons at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Thursday, July 11. This concert is presented by Rhythm Foundation and Tigre, as part of their Global Sounds Series.
Gilsons is a rising Brazilian musical trio comprised of Francisco, João and José Gil - all sons and grandsons of Brazilian music legend Gilberto Gil. Their music blends pop, samba, reggae and Bahiano rhythms, layered with the rich tradition of Brazilian MPB (Música Popular Brasileira).
Since forming in 2018, Gilsons has become a major force in Brazilian music, performing at iconic festivals like Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza Brazil, and earning a Latin Grammy nomination.
The evening kicks off with an opening viny set by Marcello Bentine. Entry is free for Miami Beach residents with valid ID.
