Experience a captivating reimagination of Shakespeare as the 38th International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami opens its season with a unique take on Hamlet. This innovative adaptation, presented entirely in Spanish with English supertitles, features a talented cast of actors with Down syndrome. Under the direction of Chela De Ferrari, the play weaves Shakespeare's timeless text with the actors' own experiences, offering a fresh perspective on themes of existence, identity and the human condition.
Witness Hamlet's iconic "To be or not to be?" soliloquy take on new meaning as these dedicated performers bring the classic tale to life. Presented by Asociacion Cultural Drama, Teatro la Plaza from Lima, Peru, This thought-provoking production runs from July 11th to 13th at 8:30 PM at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center.
