In the Heart of Miami

Aerial artistry, original music and multidisciplinary performance come together in a tribute to Miami’s cultural mosaic. On Sunday, September 21, the Manuel Artime Theater hosts In the Heart of Miami, presented by Les Ailes du Désir (LADD) Miami Circus Arts Center. Directed and produced by Milena Straczynski, with lead composition and music direction by Jahzel Dotel, the evening blends Afro-Caribbean rhythms, Latin American spirit, Indigenous influences and immigrant narratives.

Guided by host Teresa Cesario, the performance features world-class artists in aerial acrobatics, contemporary dance and live music. The program honors the voices, traditions and creative energy of Miami’s neighborhoods, offering a poetic reflection on the city’s roots and evolving identity.
