Discover the interplay of art and storytelling at Conversations | Intersections in Art: The Many Worlds of Worldbuilding on Friday, December 6, at Art Basel Miami Beach in the Miami Beach Convention Center. This compelling discussion brings together Harmony Korine, Paul McCarthy and Jill Mulleady, three artists whose work spans mediums from painting and film to AI and video games, as they explore how worlds emerge and merge across artistic genres. The conversation will be moderated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries in London.
Harmony Korine, known for his experimental "Mistakist Art," has built a multidisciplinary practice blending film, painting and video games with a mix of humor, nostalgia and abstraction. Paul McCarthy, a trailblazer in contemporary art, challenges conventional boundaries with provocative works spanning performance, sculpture and AI filmmaking. Jill Mulleady's paintings and installations create uncanny narratives that translate seamlessly into digital and interactive mediums. Together, these artists will examine the transformative potential of worldbuilding in art.
