Just for Me: Prosthetics Tech
This event has passed.
Experience Frost Science in a sensory-friendly way during the museum's Just for Me events. The Just for Me program welcomes individuals and families with diverse sensory and accessibility needs to discover and explore everything Frost Science has to offer.
For the Wednesday, September 20 and Saturday, September 23 installments of Just for Me hours, attendees will learn about prosthetics by helping to repair Barbie's broken arm. Activities include designing something that can help Barbie heal, but also function.
Taking into consideration sensory-friendly needs, Just for Me hours feature sound and lighting adjustments within the exhibitions. There will also be a special tactile and interactive activation within one exhibit so guests can engage with scientific concepts at their own pace and on their own terms. Families are encouraged to make connections and share resources during events. View the museum's Social Narrative to plan your visit.
This program sponsored by the Albert & Jane Nahmad Foundation. A limited number of free museum admissions are available for Just For Me event days. If you are interested in joining the Frost Museum for a fun sensory day, please fill out the request form.
