Kids Culinary Camp at The Biltmore - Week 5

Inspire the young aspiring chef in the family with a weeklong hands-on culinary camp taught by Biltmore chef instructors featuring special workshops by the hotel's acclaimed hotel chefs. The weeklong sessions are open to children ages 9 - 16. The fifth weeklong session starts on Monday, July 10 and runs through Friday, July 14. Students are grouped by age and work in the hotel's fully equipped, profession kitchen academy. Class size is limited.
As one of the few hotels in the country with a leisure cooking school, the Biltmore’s Culinary Academy is where future foodies learn how to work within the kitchen while gaining insight on culinary topics such as:
- Techniques and ingredients used in international cuisines
- Menu planning
- Presentation and garnishing
- Baking and pastry
- Kitchen safety
- Sanitation of kitchen and food
- Identification and proper usage of kitchen tools and equipment
Children will delve into the topics mentioned while cooking a diverse array of foods that include Italian dishes, sushi, pastries, and healthy desserts.
