Nicole Yarling Sings an Homage to Overtown

Celebrate the legacy of one of Miami’s most historic Black neighborhoods through a live jazz performance led by vocalist and violinist Nicole Yarling. Jazz at The Betsy: Nicole Yarling Sings an Homage to Overtown takes place Sunday, June 22, as part of a Juneteenth and Black Music Month series highlighting local and Caribbean artists.
Yarling, known for her expressive voice and deep roots in jazz, will be joined by fellow musicians for a musical tribute to Overtown’s cultural contributions. A protégé of jazz legend Joe Williams, she serves as an Assistant Professor at Florida Memorial University and a lecturer at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
The performance is part of The Betsy’s ongoing live music series, held in the Lobby with no cover or minimum. Guests are welcome to stop in for the music or make a reservation at LT Steak & Seafood for Sunday brunch.
