PAMM Art Storytime: Honoring Juneteenth with Bisa Butler
This event has passed.
Enjoy an interactive storytime experience with your little one(s) at the Juneteenth edition of the Pérez Art Museum's monthly PAMM Art Storytime series. This free event takes place on Saturday, June 24 and features a reading of All-Together Quilt by Lizzie Rockwell, followed by a tour of artwork Black is King, a quilted, jewel-toned portrait by PAMM Collection artist Bisa Butler. For a creative hands-on activity, participants will work on their own art piece inspired by quilt-making and in the process find out what makes quilting a special art form.
PAMM Art Storytime takes place every fourth Saturday of the month. Intended for 3-5 year olds in the company of a parent or guardian, PAMM Art Storytime builds upon the foundations of literacy. Young learners can participate in a gallery tour facilitated by a PAMM teaching artist and an art-related storybook reading followed by a hands-on activity. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
