Sneak Preview: BROOMS Caress the Earth
Oct 10, 2025
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
An installation of 500 hand-crafted brooms made from natural materials sourced across Brazil’s six biomes anchors this preview of Latin American artistry.
The Copperbridge Foundation hosts a sneak preview of BROOMS Caress the Earth on Friday, October 10, presented as part of the City of North Miami’s Hispanic Heritage Month programming. Brazilian artist Mônica Carvalho, who has worked with organic materials for more than 25 years, will lead guided tours of the exhibition and offer broom-making workshops that highlight craft traditions rooted in regional identity.
As a nonprofit dedicated to fostering cultural exchange across Latin America and the Caribbean, Copperbridge provides a platform for Carvalho’s work within a broader dialogue on ecology, heritage and community in contemporary art.
