Recurring monthly on the 3rd Friday
Experience authentic Haitian culture through live music, food and more at the monthly Sounds of Little Haiti, an immersive cultural experience that takes place every third Friday of the month in the heart of downtown Little Haiti. For the series' Friday, October 20 installment, acclaimed Haitian singer and songwriter BélO will be headlining the performance. Special guests pianist Fabrice Rouzier and Keke Belizaire, bandmembers of Mizik Mizik, will be joining BélO for an evening filled with timeless melodies.
Hailed as Haiti's musical ambassador to the world, Jean Belony Murat, known as BélO, is a socially conscious artist whose music reflects the issues and challenges facing his home country. BélO’s sound is a mixture of world, rock, reggae, jazz, and Afro-Haitian traditional rhythms known as “ragganga.”
This event is hosted by Mecca AKA Grimo.
