String Fling: A Macramé Affair

Spend an early evening outdoors immersed in fiber art and creativity while learning how to craft your own macramé wall hanging from scratch.

String Fling: A Macramé Affair takes place Saturday, June 7 at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. This hands-on workshop introduces the basics of macramé knotting techniques in a relaxed, garden setting, encouraging participants to experiment with color, texture and natural materials. The session focuses on free-form design, allowing each attendee to produce a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects their individual style.

The event is open to anyone age 16 and older, and no previous experience is required. All standard materials will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own yarn, fabric scraps or natural items like feathers and twigs to incorporate into their artwork.

Participants will leave with a personalized wall hanging and a better understanding of macramé as a meditative, expressive art form.
