Summer Greetings Everglades Clean-Up
Jun 28, 2025
From: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Get involved in hands-on environmental restoration by joining a community cleanup effort focused on protecting South Florida’s wetlands. Volunteers will meet at Miccosukee Casino & Resort and caravan to a designated site in the Everglades for an afternoon of trash and invasive plant removal.
The Summer Greetings Everglades Clean-Up, hosted by Love The Everglades Movement, takes place on Saturday, June 28. Participants should meet at Raccoon 7, located at the far right end of the parking lot behind the Miccosukee Casino & Resort. Gloves, garbage bags and cold water refills will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes suitable for muddy or wet conditions and bring a reusable water container. The cleanup is open to all ages, and community service hour documentation is available at the end of the event.
The program also includes an invitation for artists to explore opportunities in salvage art using recovered materials, with future exhibition details to come. This initiative is part of Love The Everglades Movement’s broader mission to engage the public through environmental action, creative expression and inclusive outreach.
