The performance marks the conclusion of the initial phase of a two-year international cultural exchange residency bringing together both cultures to explore their native ceremonies and traditions through music and dance. Afro-Cuban musician and educator Michael Gil and NT Dance Company's artistic director and choreographer Gary Lang from the Aboriginal Australian Larrakia nation will lead a dynamic ensemble of artists, including Afro-Cuban dancer/choreographer Marisol Blanco, Yolngu elder Banula Marika, Marranunggu Marrathiyel singer-songwriter David Spry, dancer Suramy Suarez and musicians Manuel Clua, René Pedroso and Caridad Paisán. Reserve your spot to witness the creation of new sounds, stories, and choreography in this groundbreaking collaboration.
