Vice City Comedy Festival: Carlos Hernandez
This event has passed.
High-energy storytelling and cultural commentary collide in this dynamic performance from one of Miami's breakout comedy stars. The Vice City Comedy Festival presents Carlos Hernandez at Villain Theater on February 20, with host Victoria Haig introducing a lineup of accomplished performers from across North America.
Known for his viral Spanish Accent Challenge videos and Only in Dade's "On The Spot" interviews, Hernandez brings his unique perspective on Latino life to the stage. The Miami native, whose comedic journey includes training with Second City, iO Chicago and The Groundlings, gained national attention as his Reggaeton alter-ego Yurisbel on American Idol, where he charmed judges into offering a golden ticket without singing a note. Named Miami's Best Comedian in 2022 by the Miami New Times, Hernandez combines his background in improv, stand-up and acting to create an engaging performance style.
The 8:30 p.m. show offers free parking and no drink minimum.
