Watching Chemical Reactions Happen One Molecule at a Time
This event has passed.
Ever wonder how atoms and molecules interact at very cold temperatures? In the Wednesday, September 20 installment of LIVE@Frost Science, Dr. Heather Lewandowski, Physics professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, will present Watching Chemical Reactions Happen One Molecule at a Time. The presentation explores how atoms and molecules cooled down to near absolute zero interact with each other over the course of many minutes, as opposed to mere fractions of a second. Results from these studies will shed light on how complex molecules came into existence from simple reactions in space.
This installment of LIVE@Frost Science is presented in partnership with Florida International University with support by the National Science Foundation.
