Workshops @ The Bass: The Art of Seeing

Observation and expression come into focus in The Art of Seeing: Line & Gesture, a figure drawing workshop inspired by movement and form.

Beginning with a guided visit to Faire Foyer: Sarah Crowner in Dialogue with Etel Adnan, participants will explore how Crowner’s reflective bronze sculptures evoke gesture and motion before transitioning into a live drawing session. Working with short and extended poses, the class emphasizes rhythm, structure and the expressive energy of line to cultivate a more mindful approach to seeing and drawing.

Part of the Workshops @ The Bass series, this session is open to adults ages 21 and older of all skill levels. Materials are provided. The workshop takes place Saturday, October 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Bass on Miami Beach, with tickets priced at $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.
