AfriKin Fashion: Resistance on the Runway takes place Sunday, December 7 at the Scott Galvin Community Center, presented as part of AfriKin Art Fair 2025. Produced by Senegalese fashion designer Rama Diaw, the event pays tribute to the women of Nder, whose legendary act of defiance in 1820 continues to inspire. Each step on the runway becomes a ceremonial reclaiming of history, evoking the courage and legacy of the Walo Kingdom’s heroines.
