An Acoustic Evening With Matisyahu
Mar 25, 2026
Starting: 08:00 PM
Reggae, hip-hop and spiritual lyricism take an intimate acoustic form during a live performance by Matisyahu at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. An Acoustic Evening With Matisyahu takes place Wednesday, March 25, featuring a stripped-down set that highlights the artist’s vocals, beatboxing and improvisational musicianship.
Joined by longtime collaborator and guitarist Adam Weinberg, Matisyahu performs acoustic arrangements that emphasize the lyrical depth and rhythmic foundations of his music. The format places the focus on voice and guitar, allowing songs to unfold through improvisation while offering a closer connection between performer and audience.
Born Matthew Paul Miller, Matisyahu gained widespread recognition with the 2005 single “King Without a Crown,” which reached the U.S. Top 40. Known for blending reggae, rock and hip-hop influences with spiritual themes, he has released multiple studio and live albums and collaborated with producers including Bill Laswell, Sly & Robbie and Kool Kojak. His recent work, including material from his eighth studio album Ancient Child, reflects a renewed engagement with questions of identity, spirituality and personal experience.
