An Evening With Clarissa Ward

Acclaimed conflict journalist Clarissa Ward will share her riveting experiences in On All Fronts: The Education of a Journalist at the 2024 Miami Book Fair. Through years of reporting from global hotspots such as Syria, Gaza, Ukraine and Afghanistan, Ward documents her experiences in war zones, offering a unique perspective on the violent transformations shaping the world today.

Ward’s account traces her journey from a privileged upbringing to becoming an international war correspondent. From her early days embedded with U.S. Marines in Iraq to covering the Syrian civil war, her reporting sheds light on the courage and compassion required to document these tumultuous events.

As part of the 2024 Miami Book Fair's Evening With series, this event takes place on Friday, November 20, at the MDC Wolfson Campus. Tickets, which include a copy of On All Fronts, are priced at $35. Companion tickets without a book are available for $15. Both ticket types grant free access to the Fair's Street Fair, featuring literary events, live music, children's activities, booksellers, artisans and gourmet food.
