Snowflakes swirl and sweets come to life as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® returns to enchant South Florida audiences with Miami City Ballet’s signature holiday production.
Running December 12–28 at the Adrienne Arsht Center, this beloved ballet brings E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale to life through Balanchine’s masterful choreography and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. With over 100 dancers, a live orchestra and immersive stagecraft—including a snowfall in the theater—audiences follow young Marie and her Nutcracker Prince on a magical journey through a sparkling forest and into the Land of the Sweets.
Miami City Ballet’s production features costume and set designs by Isabel and Ruben Toledo, reimagined with bold colors and tropical flair to reflect the vibrancy of South Florida. This performance is part of Miami City Ballet’s 2025/2026 season. Please note: there are no performances on December 15, 16, 22 or 25.
