Discover the history and architecture of Miami Beach’s Art Deco Historic District on a guided walking tour led by renowned expert George Neary. This insightful Art Deco Tour takes place on Wednesday, January 29.
Led by cultural tourism expert George Neary, participants will explore the world’s largest collection of Art Deco buildings, celebrated for their bold colors, geometric lines and cultural significance.. Neary, who served as Associate Vice President for Cultural Tourism at the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau for two decades, brings expertise and engaging insights to this walking exploration of the district's buildings.
The tour begins at the Art Deco Welcome Center, located at Ocean Drive and 10th Street, where participants will gather before embarking on their architectural journey. This free event is part of the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders' 20th Anniversary celebration, designed to connect new and young arts professionals with the region's rich cultural heritage.
Space for this educational experience is limited, and interested participants must RSVP by Tuesday, January 28. The tour is hosted by the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders, a program of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, with collaborative support from the Arts and Business Council of Miami and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.
