Artists interested in developing their practice within a historic and ecologically rich setting can learn more about a residency opportunity during this upcoming in-person session.
The Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Program Information Session at the Deering Estate takes place Saturday, June 14. This event offers prospective applicants insight into the 2026 AIR program, including the types of residencies available—studio-based and project-based—as well as application requirements, selection criteria and the timeline for decisions. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide an overview of how artists can engage with the Deering Estate’s natural and cultural landscape through site-specific work, public programs or interdisciplinary exploration.
The AIR program is open to visual, literary, performing and cross-disciplinary artists. The deadline to apply for the 2026 season is August 31, 2025. Residencies may begin as early as January 1, 2026.
