Artscape: LaVie
This event has passed.
Collins Park will come alive with the sounds of jazz, soul and Caribbean rhythms as LaVie brings her distinctive style to the May installment of the Artscape music series. Artscape: LaVie is scheduled for Sunday, May 25, in recognition of Haitian Flag Day.
Born in Miami to Haitian parents, LaVie draws from a blend of musical influences that include gospel, R&B and reggae, often weaving Haitian Creole into her performances. Her work as a vocalist and songwriter reflects both personal expression and cultural pride, with songs like “Queen” speaking to themes of empowerment and identity.
Families are encouraged to arrive early for hands-on art activities hosted by The Bass from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. Parking is available at the Collins Park garage at 340 23rd Street.
