Black History Dance Show
Feb 25, 2026
From: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
A student dance performance explores the history and cultural impact of the African diaspora through movement, rhythm and contemporary expression.
Black History Dance Show takes place Wednesday, February 25 at Miami-Dade College’s Kendall Campus, Room M113, presented as part of Miami-Dade College’s Black History Month programming marking the 100th anniversary of the observance. The program features performances by MDC dancers that draw on African diasporic traditions while incorporating modern movement and musical influences.
Through choreography rooted in storytelling, the evening reflects themes of resilience, legacy and cultural continuity. The showcase offers a performance-based perspective on Black history, using dance as a medium for expression and collective memory.
